Little Wanderer by NatureRaven Little Wanderer by NatureRaven
This little guy was so scared of us looking at him that he tried to hop across the road. My friend picked him up, set him on his hand, took him across the road, and let him hop into a little stream. Taken at Felicita Park in Escondido, California.

I can't believe how tiny he is! Reminds me of my childhood and the baby toads in my backyard... :aww:

Aww. I used to see tiny ones at my friend's house...and they'd try to hop across the road, so I'd make them hop across all the way so they wouldn't get run over.

We took some home before, from a park in San Antonio. Even the smallest crickets we could buy were too big for the little guys to eat. I felt so bad that we ended up taking them back to the park in a few days.

I took a pair of tree frogs home once, had the same problem. Couldn't take them back, as it was in another state, and it was too hot and dry for them to survive here. Very upsetting.

Awww. I remember you told me about that before. I figured the little guy was better off being in his home than in my dorm room anyway.

I am not sure if this little bugger is the same type we have in clusters in our fields, but they are so little and amazing to play with. I think we used to catch them in socks and carry big bunches of them home when I was a child.

I am from Ohio by the way :rose:
